Born in Dallas, TX, Nathan Zamaniego was inspired in 1999 by seeing dancers such as Johnny Vazquez and Jason Molina at the first Bacardi Salsa Congress in Denver, Colorado. This inspiration brought him to such congresses as LA Salsa Congress, San Francisco Salsa Congress and others where he learned from high level instructors such as Eddie Torres, Francisco Vazquez, Seaon Stylist and many other well-known instructors.
After dancing over 2 years, Nathan won the beginner/intermediate salsa open in 2002 with his dance partner at the time, Joanna Pulido. He has traveled to such places as Vancouver, Canada, Calgary, Canada Washington, DC, Baltimore, Maryland, Miami, FL, Las Vegas, Nevada, and other international cities such as Sydney, Australia, and Brisbane, Australia where he taught and took workshops from local instructors.
In 2003, Nathan won the professional category for Colorado Salsa Open with his dancer partner at the time Claudia Vazquez. After living in Denver, Colorado for 5 years, he decided to move to Houston, TX to further his dance career as an instructor, choreographer, and performer with his dancer partner at the time.
Once in Houston, TX, he became a fundamental key for one of the well-known groups in Houston, the Houston Salsa Dancers. Other groups that he contributed his talent and knowledge to were Rumba y Bongo (performer) and La Union (director).
In 2006, Nathan became a powerful member for the Non-profit organization of Houston Salsa Dancers Inc. After only one year with this organization, he became president and successfully hosted such events as the 2007 Houston Salsa Congress. Presently, Nathan is continuing his endeavors with his new dancer partner Kanosky “K” Munoz.

Kanosky “K” Munoz was born in March 3, 1985 in Maracaibo, Venezuela. She was raised in her hometown until the age of 13 when her family decided to come to the USA for a better future. Since she was a little girl, she has always displayed a talent for dance, sports, and other forms of art due to her family’s many talents; Her dad is a musician by heart, her mom an athlete and singer in her younger years, her sister was born a talented singer, and her brother is a percussionist and baseball player.
She started dancing at the young age of 5, and her dancing background includes influences from Ballet Folkloric, Classical Ballet, Jazz, Flamenco, and others. Before the age of 10, the Academy of Performing Arts where she was enrolled certified her with the most outstanding recognition for her hard work and dedication for the arts. Once in the USA, she continued her training in figure ice skating and won 2 gold medals in Texas, but tragically had to let go of those dreams after dislocating two toes.
After months of therapy, she decided that it was time to get back to what she really had passion for, dancing. Her sister, a singer at the time, introduced her to a young man named Michael, also well known as “Cubiche”. All he said was “Just follow”. After that she felt in love with the distinctive and unique style of salsa. She also continued learning from other salseros by social dancing, until she auditioned for a group called “Con Sabor Dance Company, Ladies Edition” directed by Blanca Flores from San Antonio. Later, she started training with Troy Spooner and Jorjet Alcocer from New Orleans in “Proyecto Criollo”. Soon after, she became part of SalRica Dance Company directed by Oscar Martinez. Recently, she became partners with Nathan Zamaniego and is currently working with Troy Spooner in a project called “DancinDozen.”
